Over time, Brabo wants to electrify a large part of the fleet. "Electric motors are perfect for use behind the locks." says Commercial Manager Koen De Groof.
The vessel will be built in Sliedrecht at the Schlieker shipyard. The test runs show that electric propulsion can be a valid alternative for conventional diesel engines. Brabo currently has around forty motor boats. Our colleagues are now looking at the extent in which these can be replaced by electric boats. The exact price tag is not known, but according to De Groof the price difference with a classic motor boat is very small.
